Around the simple riverside town of Kampot are some magnificent ruined colonial houses, and the splendid Bokor Hill Station atop the Bokor National Park.
Kampot is a great town for your homebase, and the Bokor Mountain Lodge is recommended for its spot on the river, good food, and nice rooms. The town itself doesn’t have much to see, aside from nice old colonial architecture in varying states of repair, but it’s a relaxing place to see some very nice sunsets over a cold beer.
