Along the road
The most charming village we found was Chey Mencot, unmarked but nestled on both sides of the highway at GPS Coordinates: N12° 35.669', E105° 01.045'.
Here are rustic stilt houses on the east side of the highway, and a communal bath consisting of a large ceramic pot.
Phnom Suntonk
Nearby is Phnom Suntonk, a hillside pagoda with its 980 steps to the top along a stone stairway guarded by male and female figures. The view from the top is wonderful, and drinks can be purchased along the climb. The turnoff to the padoga is east off Highway 6 at GPS Coordinates: N12° 37.517', E104° 59.553'.
